These are a few things that I had on my heart to share with all of you today-a few thoughts that stayed with me from the all-day meeting in PEI last weekend. The main topic was basically about how to read and study the Bible. It might seem simple, but in reality do we really take time to make it a priority in our life on a daily basis? It's basically the nourishment for our soul, and without it our relationship with Christ will be faltered. Through the Bible, the Lord can reveal many beautiful truths to us.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
that the man of God may be complete,
throughly furnished unto all good works."
2 Timothy 3:16-17
We might not always realize it, but just think of how blessed we are to have the Bible in our own language, accessible to us everywhere we go? It's such a privilege. We should be very thankful for it.Here's a video that I find so inspiring that was shared with all of us during the past weekend:
Everyday, God has a message for each of us. We should be willing to know what is the lesson that the Lord wants to teach us. The purpose to study God's Word shouldn't be primarily to debate about it and to get all the answers right, but rather it is to know more about Him, and to see how we should walk through our life following His example in the way that He interacted, talked and dealt with the people around Him."It takes time to read & study God's Word, but it's worth it."
PS: Next post will primarily be about the helpful study tips that were given, as well as what worship really is.
Have a great weekend guys!
