''I'm not quite posting as much as I would like too, but that's okay, I guess.
I have a lot of homework and other things to get ready for, so that's the reason why
there's not really a lot of stuff being posted on my blog.''
This is what I have for today. I've been pondering on these things for a couple of days now,
and I thought I might share it on my blog:-)
Luke 6: 46-49
46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
I personaly think that in this parable the Lord was talking about our life.
-''When we don't apply the word of God in our life, it's useless.''
The Rock- The truth of the word of God
The foundation- You cannot build a life without a firm foundation.
The water-The wordlyness; things that can flow away with the current.
''By digging we might get blisters, but that's the way we find gold.''
We can find wonderful truths in God's word.
We need to dig deep until we find the rock, and then build on it.
To say ''I'm sure of this'', on certain things concerning our faith, we will need to dig first.
When the water will come, if certain things are not secure on the rock, it will flow away with the current.
''The deeper we dig the less light there will be.''
We will need to ask for light. God is not on the surface of the earth. To be in a better relationship with Him, we have to remove the surface, to get below the surface.
''If we dig in, we will be able to stand.''
We will need to ask for light. God is not on the surface of the earth. To be in a better relationship with Him, we have to remove the surface, to get below the surface.
''If we dig in, we will be able to stand.''
