Hello Everyone!I hope that you're enjoying the awesome weather:)
This will be quite a long post, but I hope that it will be a encouragement for some.
-Lately I've been reading a book called '' A young woman after God own Heart'' and it extremely good.It make you discover God's plan and purpose for your life.
Couple of days ago I read about, of what we may call the three Giants of faith.
The 3 Giants of faith: Moses, Aaron and Miriam.
They, each of them loved and obeyed God, and they served God until their last moments.
Moses, he was in fact the greatest Jewish leader, He did not led only the Israelite out from Egypt, but he was also the one who received the 10 commandments from the Lord.He had a pretty rough life, but he was still devoted to God.
Aaron, a godly man, he was the first high priest of God in Israel.
He was also the one God chose to communicate to the king of Egypt for Moses, to be Moses right hand man and to speak for him.He did have a lot of faith and courage.
The third one is actually a woman, Miriam
She was a prophetess, a leader of Woman, sh did wrote many songs of praise to God.
She knew how to have control in her though.Miriam too was sold out for God.
Now here is something else special about these peoples; they were all siblings!
It sad when we hear sometime someone say that her brother or sister is His/Her biggest headache in life. For sure this is not true.God want his families to love one another and to serve the Lord all together. There is many example in the Bible that show brothers and sisters that served the Lord together as a team.
-Moses, Aaron and Miriam, ''the three giant of faith''
-Peter and Andrew, they followed Jesus and became two of his twelve disciples. (Mat 4:18, 10:2)
-James and John did the same, they followed Jesus and they became two of his disciples(Mat 4:21)
-Mary, Martha and their brother Lazarus, they were devoted followers of Jesus.(Luke 10:38-48)
And now, I would like to share with you, my reader, Bible verses that show us what God has to say about loving our brothers and sisters.
''A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:34-35
''If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.''
1 John 2:20-21
''When the Holy Spirit controls our lives, He will produce this kind of fruit in us:
Love...Patience, Kindness, Goodness... and Self-control.'' Galatians 5:22-23
Have a Wonderful Weekend!
Blessings,
Keila
